Currently teamed up with one of Aotearoa's Top producers, Dr Lee Prebble (L.A.B, The Black Seeds, KORA, Trinity Roots), 1 Drop Nation have just finished recording their 2nd Studio Album in Wellington at Surgery Studios which just dropped on Friday 13th of October (2023).
They have played music festivals all around the country, have completed a national tour and supported some of Aotearoa’s finest acts.
MATIU TE HUKI
As a musician, Matiu’s ability to powerfully connect with and lift a crowd with his powerful stage presence, while fronting great bands or with his solid solo looping show is mesmerising.
Looping live, Matiu's soulful roots music has a strong Maori flavor, using haka, chants and traditional Maori instruments, backed by grabbing grooves, deep, beautifully crafted bass lines, funky rhythms and magical melodies that stay with you well after the show ends, all held up by a pillar of Pacific passion and top class technical precision

Facettes is an all-time Storyteller, Journey creator with French Arabic & Mediterranean origins inspired by the fables of One Thousand and One Nights. He developed a unique way of immersing the audience into a mesmerizing world with an unforgettable experience.
His style builds a vibrant, ethnic, electronic atmosphere, alternating Mediterranean and Middle eastern Rhythms and organic Afro-house to enchant the senses.
His mission is to build a deep emotional connection with people and take them to a place they don’t want to leave!
MATIAS CELLABOS
Matias Ceballos is a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, teacher and sound healing facilitator, originally from the South of Chile. He has been playing music for over 26 years, and composed and recorded a number of albums. His original music work is largely influenced by the roots of the native culture and the traditions of Latin America. Through his travels, he has come to know the true identity of the guitar in different countries of Latin America.
In 2021, he has been granted a NZ creative with which he created the first Latin American Children Refugees Orchestra.
In his compositions, he mixes the Spanish guitar and on stage he will take you on a musical journey playing different indigenous instruments from Latin America, flutes and string. Matias has shared his talent via key collaborations and the founding of various musical bands. He has played the stages of many well-known Festivals throughout New Zealand along with many live music venues and events nationally and internationally.
BUSTER CAITCHEON
Buster Caitcheon is a vibrant folk and soul musician whose uplifting sound seeks to spread hope and joy in uncertain times. Lyrically woven into his music is a deep reverence and appreciation for our wilderness, humanness and the innate interconnectivity of all things. A rhythmic multi instrumentalist, he has drawn recognition on the festival circuit for his ‘one man band’ approach, which he overlays with a voice that has been known to stir even the most rigid of hearts. Gigging less and recording/producing more these days - as well as spending time with his young family, his live shows are a rare and unique experience you don’t want to miss.
SIKA
Sika is a sound artist based in Takaka, New Zealand, dedicated to creating music and paintings that enhance our spiritual relationship with nature.
He has toured internationally since 1993, offering sound journeys and concerts.
The didgeridoo forms an important foundation for his music, however he also uses drums, native flutes, voice and natural instruments.
Giving voice to wood, skin, bone, stone and shell, his work reflects a lifetime of listening to the rhythms of nature. Other sources of sound such as water, fire, trees, animals and wind are used with the intention to build soundscapes that enable us to leave time.
After years of gathering and making instruments, Sika has recorded ten solo albums. As a collection these projects tell the story of a man who has followed his yearning to create a life grown from the roots of the past, but sowing the seeds of the future.
CYAN
Known for their eclectic performance and varied styles, South American duo Cyan serve fresh and classic music of worldwide scenarios.
They dive high and low, and expect to cater a wide range: from sweet & dreamy ballads and funky up-beat neo-soul to deeply cherished South American folk and reimagined pop songs. The vibe travels through love stories, spiritually and inquisitive existentialism and soulful quests narrated through sound.
Although seemingly worlds apart, at the heart of their project lies two experimental musicians that enjoy playing across the board of the music universe. They approach it with great depth and an unwavering commitment to making music that takes the listener into a thought-provoking yet loving and curious voyage. WILDLANES
Authentic, impactful, liberating.
WILDLANES is the musical vehicle for proud wahine and emerging singer and songwriter, Laney Van Jaarsveld. Raised in Aoteroa’s seaside town of Tairua, the raw soul powerhouse that is WILDLANES draws from nature, connection to community with a desire to share truths that empower, uplift & inspire.
From young experiences singing with Stan Walker, to countless nights singing in bars, while learning her writing craft by day, WILDLANES connection with local audiences in her Mt Maunganui community have seen the stages to grow from corners in Kiwi bars, to significant stages supporting international touring artists such as Dire straights legacy, COTERIE, lime coraidle and beginning to play major NZ festivals including Soundsplash 2023. NZ on Air supported the project via the New Music Development Scheme, joining WILDLANES talents with those of Stan Bicknell and Will Henderson among other industry mentors.
Wether with her full band, or performing intimately, the stories and songs of WILDLANES are disarmingly vulnerable and inspiring. One part soulful, another spiritual, another liberated and free; above all, WILDLANES exudes a power that comes with growth, and speaks to the hurt and hurdles that inevitably line the road to self-love.

LUNAR
LUNAR has performed across NZ, playing support for some of the worlds most well known Drum and Bass Artists and MCs.
LUNAR was a regular to NZ's Night Club festival scene, and now stepping into the world of Festival Dance ~ holding space for the souls to release what no longer serves them through movement. LUNAR has had the privilege of performing at festivals such as: Dimension Festival, Elektro Hillz, Friends from Around The World, Otherlanz, Spectrum and is a regular to Resolution and NZ Spirit Festivals.
SHAUNA DE DANANN
Shauna Dé Danann is an upcoming singer songwriter hailing from Dublin, Ireland and currently based in Auckland's North Shore.
A genre melding amalgamation of folk, soul, blues and indie rock, Shauna is a vocal force to be reckoned with, with voice influences coming from Hozier, Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone and Dusty Springfield. Having grown up in Ireland, Celtic mysticism and mythology also plays a role in her artistry. Her songwriting is catchy and upbeat upbeat with introspective lyricism.

I would love the chance to play at NZ Spirit. I moved to New Zealand last year and am eager to build a musical following here and am seeking any opportunity to play.

We've had the privilege of performing alongside and collaborating with some of New Zealand's beloved artists like Tiki Take, John Toogood, Scalper, and Leopard Print Aunt. Each opportunity has shaped us, infusing our music with a rich tapestry of sounds and unique style.
WE ARE SEEDIQ-Teymu Ukah
In describing the Taiwanese Aboriginal people’s strong relationship with the land of their ancestors, all land is regarded as sacred, and these ancient songs must be continually sung to keep the land “alive”.
Teymu Ukah is a young Taiwanese indigenous Seediq singer-songwriter, artist, dancer, and choreographer who has played a few shows in Taiwan and also in Sweden.
He is devoted to music and cultural collaboration by expanding Taiwanese Seediq arts and cultural connections with indigenous cultures across the world.
Teymu and his entourage (singer, dancer, and guitarist) will visit NZ Culture Fest and perform Taiwanese indigenous music—to chant ancient Seediq songs combined with rhythmic forms in an amazing series of variations around acting out the elements of the song through unique dance. The performance will be followed by the performance of ancient traditional Seediq jaw harps (single-string bamboo harps).
We are bringing Taiwan's indigenous Seediq people for the first time to perform at the culture fest to introduce part of Taiwan's rich and unique culture to Kiwi friends.
It is also an opportunity for all cultures to get together for fun and friendship, which highlightsa the true celebration of Auckland’s cultural diversity.

Kāren Hunter is a (Pākeha) New Zealander of Cornish, Irish and Scottish descent. She offers music to awaken humanity by creating soundscapes that draw from the deep well of collective spirit. She channels her musical messages straight from the heart through lyric, looper, guitar, voice, mandolin, drum, jaw harp and flute.

LOU'ANA
Lou'ana is an Aotearoa Pacific Artist, singer-songwriter, and musician known for her unique and captivating voice. Drawing inspiration from the infectious sounds of American blues, funk, soul, and disco, she infuses these nostalgic grooves with her own unique spirit and personal narratives. With over a million streams on Spotify, Lou'ana's recent dance hit "Night Creature" reached #2 on the Hot 20 NZ Singles Chart and #25 on the Hot 40 Singles Chart. Lou'ana's debut album, "Moonlight Madness," earned her the title of Best Pacific Female Artist at the 2021 Pacific Music Awards and reached No.18 on the NZ top 20 Album charts. LOUIS RHIAN
My name is Louis Rhian (pronounced Louie Ryan), I make fun, thoughtful and thought provoking hip-hop music with a distinctive kiwi flavour. Currently based in Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau, I grew up on Aotea Great Barrier Island, and this has shaped my distinctive worldview which is visible through my musical expression.
Recently I have opened for King Kapisi, played at festivals across the motu including Shipwrecked and Wingman, and performed as part of curated events run by Hala and Madcap in Auckland. I was also a finalist in the 2022 Auckland Poetry Slam, and I often weave spoken word pieces into my performance.
My music contains heartfelt lyrics and authentic storytelling over laid-back beats, covering topics such as love and loss, the environment, social issues, and mental health. I prefer performing at festivals as opposed to bars/clubs.
KERRY “KIA MAIA” COOPER
With a background passion of performing with groups such as AKSamba, Wellington Batucada, Nelson Sambassadors and also being the founder of Hamiltons Sambatron. It is inevitable that Kerry would narrow his aspiring Dj groove to what he calls “the exciting and uplifting sounds of Batucada flavoured House music”. “House mixes by artists that reference Samba Batucada styles in a way that pleases me is what I like to play in my sets and gets the dancefloor moving”

KIMBA JADE
DJ, Teacher and Alchemist - Kimba Jade has been spinning tunes for over 20 years, taking people on a journey via melodic and deep tech house music that moves both bodies and hearts.
Her vibronic sets infuse oriental and tribal tunes with her love of all things deep and bassy. She loves the bass so intensely that she incorporates the bass guitar into her DJ sets, giving her a unique edge.
Kimba Jade runs conscious dance events, teaches others how to DJ and has been seen DJing and performing at festivals and dance events in NZ, Australia, Europe and the USA.

After meeting exactly one year ago around the fire at NZ SPIRIT 2023, Matthew and Chloe have been writing music together.
They will be sharing their original music in an indie-folk style, and telling the story of how they met and the shared journey they’ve been on together.

Over the past 7 years across Oceana ( New Zealand, Australia ) and India, People from all around the world have been experiencing Rana's musical journey transforming through various genres such as Progressive trance, full on and Dark Forest to Folktronica, ethnic deep house and techno - different waves taking the audience on deep experiences while also accompanying her dj sets with live bilingual vocals.

FORRÓ DO BOM
Forró is a traditional Brazilian rhythm that brings a lot of joy and enthusiasm to whoever listens to it. It was created in the Northeast, but is appreciated throughout the country. Our Band has an original formation with the instruments Accordion, Triângulo and Zabumba (a type of drum) and brings contagious music that doesn't leave anyone standing still. Being able to showcase Brazilian culture is very special for us, even more so within a Festival with such an important ideology that seeks a healthy and sustainable lifestyle like NZ Spirits.
HARTWELL
Hartwell Sawyer, a Kentucky-born singer-songwriter, captivates audiences with her powerful voice and heartfelt songs, accompanied by just a piano and ukulele. Likened to Adele and Amy Winehouse, her enchanting storytelling and performances have made her a favorite in the transformational festival circuit, including Coachella and Bali Spirit Fest. Currently based in Bali, Hartwell is set to release her debut album in February 2024.

Dj Simon Paul Shea, AKA DJ Si On, raised in New Zealand spent most of his adult life traveling. Simon has been DJing internationally for the past 11 years, mainly in Koh Phangan Thailand, and 8 years at Burning Man. Simon loves turning people onto his unique flavor of uplifting electronic house music. His happy house is always a crowd pleaser, perfect for festivals, private parties, bars and cocktail hours. Sunset, early evening and sunrise sets are his preferred times, because his music helps ease the crowd into and out of the deeper beats happening later in the night. With his sultry sounds and heart opening vibes, Simon creates the perfect ambience for the best memories and deepest connections.

They have performed in Jazz nights and private functions. Jeff, Michael and Rana being the full time band members have recently performed at AUM new Years festival and infused their performance with movement storytelling by Rā.
